West Bengal Primary Teacher Requirement 2012-13. From now all candidates those want to become a primary teacher for lower primary (Class I to V) and upper primary (Class VI to VIII). For this post West Bengal state govt. taking exam for primary schools, is called WB TET (Teachers eligibility Test).

This vacancies’s exam has been divided in two parts one is for Class I to V and Class VI to VIII teachers.
Name of Posts: Primary Teachers in West Bengal State
Age Limit: Minimum 18 and Maximum 40 (State Gov. will decide as per rules and regulations Age Relaxation)
Total Vacancies: 46000

Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-Rs.25200/- + Grade Pay as admissible
Education Qualification :
Candidate has passed HSC (10+2) with 45 % and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Diploma in Education with 50% marks. In last candidate is able to read, write and speak the language related to medium.
Selection Process is divided in to six parts each has individual marks which allocates by WBBPE to the candidate who is eligible for this post. Candidate has passed exams under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Exam Pattern :
If you are eligible for lower primary teacher then you can give WB TET Paper II exam and if you are eligible for upper primary then you can give test of WB TET Paper II exam. If you are eligible then you can apply for both.

(ii) Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks
Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks
Structure and Content of WB TET For Paper 2 :
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv)(a) For Mathematics and Science teacher:
Mathematics and Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(b) For Social Studies/Social Science teacher:
Social Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(c) For any other teacher: either (a) or (b)
Application fee :
Any Documents not required for collection of application form. Application form for exam with information brochure will be available from the particular bank or Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CLRC) offices. Application fee for
TET examination is Rs 100/- and SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs 25/- only as application fee for West Bengal TET application form.
